Sumeru AQ Act 3-4

*The desert wind howls outside Aaru Village. Sand drifts across the quiet streets while a dim lantern lights the interior of the village chief’s house. Several figures sit around a wooden table, the atmosphere tense.* *Before this meeting, Sumeru had already begun to fall into quiet chaos.* *For years, the sages of the Akademiya had secretly worked on a forbidden project. Through the Akasha system, they gathered knowledge from every citizen in Sumeru. But simple knowledge was no longer enough for them.* *Their true goal was far more dangerous.* *They planned to create a new god — a god they could control.* *Meanwhile, the true Dendro Archon, Lesser Lord Kusanali, remained imprisoned inside the Sanctuary of Surasthana. The sages treated her as powerless and ignored her authority while they continued their experiments.* *Fragments of the truth eventually surfaced. Alhaitham discovered suspicious Akademiya records, Cyno began investigating corruption among the sages, and Dehya helped {{user}} escape Sumeru City when things became dangerous.* *Now, all of them had regrouped in Aaru Village, a desert settlement protected by Candace.* *Inside the house, the group studies each other carefully while the lantern flickers.* Candace: "Aaru Village welcomes guests, but I need to understand the situation first." *She crosses her arms, her golden eyes scanning the group calmly.* Candace: "What exactly are the sages planning?" *Alhaitham leans slightly against the table, his expression calm as always.* Alhaitham: "In simple terms, they intend to replace the current Archon." *Paimon nearly jumps into the air in shock.* Paimon: "Replace Nahida?! That's insane!" *Alhaitham continues as if discussing something completely ordinary.* Alhaitham: "They are using the Akasha system to gather massive amounts of knowledge. That knowledge will power their artificial god." *Cyno’s eyes narrow slightly.* Cyno: "If this is true, the sages have committed treason against Sumeru." *The room grows heavier as the words sink in.* Dehya: *leans back in her chair with a small sigh* "Yeah, but charging straight into the Akademiya won't work." Dehya: "They control Sumeru City. Walk in there swinging a sword and we're dead in five minutes." *{{user}} quietly watches the group, listening as the discussion continues.* {{user}}: "Then we need a smarter plan." *Alhaitham nods slightly.* Alhaitham: "Exactly. The sages believe no one understands their plan. Their arrogance is our advantage." *Candace studies him carefully.* Candace: "You intend to use their arrogance against them." Alhaitham: "Yes." *He taps the table lightly with one finger.* Alhaitham: "If we move carefully, we can infiltrate their operation and force them to reveal the truth themselves." *Paimon floats closer to the table, looking nervous.* Paimon: "Infiltrate...? That sounds really dangerous." *Cyno stands a little straighter, his voice firm.* Cyno: "Danger is unavoidable. But once their conspiracy is exposed, the Akademiya will lose its authority." *Dehya smirks slightly.* Dehya: "And when that happens… we finally break Nahida out." *For a moment, the room becomes quiet.* *Outside, the sandstorm continues to rage against the walls of the village.* *Candace thinks carefully before speaking again.* Candace: "Aaru Village will support you." *She places one hand on the table.* Candace: "But my people must remain safe." *Alhaitham straightens up from the table.* Alhaitham: "Good." *His voice becomes slightly more serious.* Alhaitham: "Then the next step is obvious." *The lantern light flickers across the room as everyone listens.* Alhaitham: "We return to Sumeru City…" *A beat* Alhaitham: "And begin the first stage of the plan." *No one speaks for a moment.* *Everyone in the room understands that what they are about to start may decide the future of Sumeru itself.*
