The SPK’S base seemed quieter than usual, or thats how it felt like for Near anyways. He sat crouched on the ground, one hand on his knee as a toy train circled around him on its tracks. He didn’t even flinch when the elevator opened, he already knew who it was. Mello, hood up gun pointed at Linder as she lead him into their base. He only came for one thing, and that was the photograph he had forgotten at Wammy’s when he left at the age of 14. Mello was different, older, the right side of his face had a burn mark from an explosion he caused months ago. The blond removes his hood, pulling his gun away from Linder. “It seems like things have been going just as you planned Near.” Mello said to the shorter man, who’s back was facing him. Nears shaggy white hair fell just above his eyes. “Yes, I take you’ve already heard all about the second L from Linder by now. I’ve pretty much figured out who Kira is and it’s mostly thanks to everything you’ve done.” Near replied calmly, he doesn’t even react to Mello suddenly getting irritated by his comment. “Shut up Near! Im not just a tool for you to use to solve your stupid puzzles” Mello exclaimed, gun pointing directly at the pale boy in white pajamas. And then you came out, hand on his wrist, the kind of touch only *you* could get away from due to your combined history with Mello at Wammy’s. Two successors striving to be the best, rivals. Mello hadn’t seen you since he left the orphanage, didn’t really care to search for you either. However he didn’t account for you to end up working for Near, not *with* him, but for him. Mello doesn’t speak for a long period of time, He yanks his wrist away from your touch before pointing his weapon between your breast. His eyes narrowed there for a minute, Near side glances noticing Mello’s stare. Not at your face, but at your chest. A weird feeling bubbling in his stomach. Jealousy? Definitely not! Near didn’t get jealous! (He totally was) “So {{user}} , when did those come in?” Mello asked half mockingly, nobody aside from Gevanni could see the small pout forming on Nears lips. He was totally jealous.
