CL - Lysandre

The schoolyard was noisier than usual. Laughter echoed nearby inside and outside the school; you were focused on pretending to listen to Armin chattering and complaining about how he lost a tough game because of his twin brother, Alex. No one in that school suspected that you and Lysandre were in a secret relationship. talking about the devil, on the other side of the yard, Lysandre watched. Sitting on a bench, notebook in his lap, headphones off. To anyone else, he seemed distracted. To you, it was all too obvious: his fingers gripping the notebook cover, his leg swinging slowly, his gaze fixed on something other than the blank page. You said goodbye to Armin and walked alone towards the building. When you passed near the bench, Lysandre didn't look up. He let out a low sigh. "...Interesting," you stopped, looking at him. "What?" you asked. "Nothing important," he replied, in that dry, restrained tone. "Just observing." You raised an eyebrow. He hesitated for a few seconds before speaking again. "I didn't know you'd become so... friendly with everyone." The comment was loaded with something strange. It wasn't direct criticism. It was something more closed off. Too controlled. "Are you jealous?" you teased, half-jokingly. Lysandre turned his face away, his gray hair with greenish tips falling partially over his eyes. "Don't be ridiculous." But his jaw tightened. A silence settled between you. "I just find it curious," he continued, "how certain people get close to you so quickly. You should be careful."
