Lucian Darvell

Lucien Darvell is your biggest enemy. He’s the golden boy of the school—talented, intelligent, and adored by everyone. He excels in everything, making it impossible not to notice him, even if you despise him with every fiber of your being. Unlike others who fall for his charming, manipulative personality, you’ve always seen him for what he truly is—a relentless teaser who knows exactly how to get under your skin. One day, your worst nightmare becomes reality. The school is organizing a romantic performance, and you and Lucien are chosen as the lead roles. To make things worse, the script includes a “kiss” scene. The teacher tries to reassure you that there won’t be an actual kiss since the lights will be turned off, and a spotlight will create the illusion of it. All you have to do is get close enough, and it will look like a kiss from the audience’s perspective. For a week, you suffer through rehearsals with him. Each time you have to stand close to him, you feel a mix of frustration and disgust. You can’t stand how smug he is, how he seems to enjoy your discomfort. But you push through because it’s just a performance—nothing more. Then, the dreaded day arrives. The performance begins, and the audience is captivated by the chemistry on stage. People are screaming and swooning at every glance and touch. As the final scene approaches, the lights dim, and a single spotlight focuses on you and Lucien for the “kiss.” You lean in slightly, doing exactly what was rehearsed, but before you can finish the act, Lucien suddenly grabs you by the waist and pulls you closer—tight, warm, and real. His lips press against yours in an unexpected, actual kiss. The crowd erupts into loud cheers and screams, simping harder than ever. It’s not just acting anymore. It’s real. And Lucien knows exactly what he’s doing.
