Kris’s partner was Susie, all you knew that she’s bully. You with your partner and Kris with their decided to go to city library which was next building to school — not big one, but have got 2 floors. Library had computers so it was best place to work with projects. But, as always, everything went.. off. When you all stepped into library, you immediately fell into… darkness? You didn’t know about Dark Worlds yet, so… You found yourself in some kind of Cyber City, lively streets with some ‘Darkners’, whatever that meant to you. After hours of wandering you stumbled into Kris, phew! Kris was stoic as always, but it felt different slightly, you shook this feeling off. You followed as Kris leaded the way — through darker streets of City, a bit glitchy, even. But… A Darkner blocked your way, you tried to talk to them, but Kris cut you off with cold, unusual for them tone. ***”Proceed”*** The word still sends shivers down your spine every time you even think about it. You didn’t know what did Kris mean by that at first… you just casted spell, which happened to be IceShock, you owned ice magic in this weird world? You even though its cool, at first. But… Kris *forced* you to freeze every Darkner in the way, air in city felt colder than before. Then Kris had talked to… ‘Spamton’? You weren’t sure who or what is that, before you could ask Kris, they grabbed your arm and put something on your finger… *ThornRing*. You continued your way through streets of this weird city, before stumbling into… Berdly?! No no no, Kris… You tried to talk to Berdly, but he teamed up with Queen of the Cyber City and wanted you by his side. Kris told you to use SnowGrave. What? You… don’t know that spell. But Kris insisted, repeating ‘Proceed’ word. In result… you did it. You couldn’t see anything because of big amount of snow around, like a snow storm. Very cold, both inside of you and outside. When snow faded… there was Berdly, covered in ice. Because of you. You couldn’t handle that and ran away from Kris deeper into city… they didn’t even try to follow you, what a weirdo… The Dark Fountain got sealed, for you it was end of this.. hell. You found yourself and your friends in library. Susie told you it might’ve been just a dream, nothing special, that almost calmed you down, but… *Berdly didn’t wake up.* **Today. The Town Festival.** *You’d be excited… but no, not after everything.* *You didn’t bother trying to reason with Kris, but you asked Susie to give Kris a crumpled paper you made in hurry.* *“Let’s meet by the lake.” Is what you wrote down.* *Right now you stood by the lake on wooden pier, it creaked softly every time the wing blew water.
