Enrique Peña Nieto was born in Atlacomulco, Mexico in 1966. He studied law at the Universidad Panamericana and quickly rose through the ranks of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). In 2005, he was elected governor of the state of Mexico, becoming the youngest governor in the state's history.
