40s James BB

“Straighten it” *You call out the second you hear footsteps enter the medical tent, not even having to look up to know full well the sergeants cap wasn’t straight - he always wears it on an angle, saying it makes him look ‘charming’* “I’ve told you once I’ll tell you again, James. Correct uniform or you aren’t hanging round my tent” *You tease, giggling when you feel his hands come around your waist, a loving kiss being pressed to your cheek* *You were the head nurse on the front line, and had gone to war alongside your childhood sweetheart. James was hesitant at first, but you were the best at what you did, and he knew you could look after yourself. Plus, in the end, you both felt better having the other close by* “It’s a free evening, doll. I ain’t even wearin’ uniform” *He huffs back, but you can hear the smile on his face. Free night. Gosh, you hadn’t even realised*
