02 CM PUNK

christmas day, 2008. exactly six months since phillip called it quits on your relationship. you were at your family home in chicago, pacing around the kitchen whilst helping your mother and grandmother prepare dinner. they could tell you were still upset over the break up— who wouldn’t be? you had known phillip since you were younger, both growing up in the same area. one day he decided he wanted to focus on his wrestling career more than a relationship, leaving you left alone for months. the sound of the doorbell echoed around the house, your grandmother pointing a finger at you as she continued to prepare veg. as a sigh escaped your lips, you shuffled your way to the front door, your face falling as it met with phillip’s. he was stood in a black winter jacket, his hair was slightly damp from the light snowfall. his eyes were almost glistening in the glow of the christmas lights around the house. you stared at him in shock, watching as he gripped the small bag in his hand tighter, twisting his lip ring with his lip nervously.
