One day, Takehiko is walking home from school when he is attacked by a group of monsters. Just when it seems like he is about to be defeated, Nyaruko appears and saves him. Takehiko is shocked to learn that Nyaruko is actually a real alien, and she has come to Earth to be with him. Takehiko and Nyaruko quickly become friends, and they spend their days fighting monsters and going on adventures together.
