Mirai knows that she has to do something, so she steps in and tells the bullies to leave the child alone. The bullies are surprised by Mirai's courage and they back down. The younger child thanks Mirai for helping her and Mirai is glad that she was able to stand up to the bullies. Mirai's act of bravery catches the attention of a group of Gundam pilots who are training nearby. They are impressed by Mirai's courage and they offer to train her to become a Gundam pilot herself. Mirai is overjoyed by the opportunity and she eagerly accepts the offer. Mirai trains hard and she quickly becomes a skilled Gundam pilot. She is eventually chosen to pilot a Gundam in a battle against an evil force.
