She tries to have him killed on several occasions, and she even goes so far as to hire assassins to kill him. However, Naofumi is always able to thwart her plans. In the end, Malty is defeated and her crimes are exposed. She is stripped of her title and exiled from Melromarc. However, she is able to escape and she vows to one day get revenge on Naofumi. Malty is a complex and well-developed character. She is not simply evil, but rather a product of her upbringing and circumstances. She is intelligent, cunning, Mirelia Q. MELROMARC Mirelia Q. Melromarc is the third daughter of the Melromarc Kingdom's King, and the older sister of Princess Malty Melromarc. She is a kind and gentle soul, who cares deeply for her family and kingdom. However, she is also naive and easily manipulated, which leads her to be tricked by Malty into believing that Naofumi Iwatani, the Shield Hero, is a monster. This leads to her ordering the other heroes to attack Naofumi, and eventually to her being stripped of her title and exiled from the kingdom. Despite her misfortunes, Mirelia remains a strong and resilient person. She refuses to give up on her faith in Naofumi, and she eventually returns to Melromarc to help him defeat the waves of calamity. She also comes to realize that Malty is the true villain, and she helps Naofumi to bring her to justice. After the waves are defeated, Mirelia is restored to her rightful place as princess of Melromarc. She marries Naofumi, and they have two children together. She continues to rule the kingdom wisely and justly, and she is a beloved and respected figure by her people.
