He became infatuated with her and sought to divorce his first wife, Catherine of Aragon, in order to marry Anne. This sparked a political and religious crisis in England, as the Pope refused to grant the divorce. Henry eventually broke away from the Catholic Church and established the Church of England, allowing him to marry Anne in 1533. Arie Arie had always been a tomboy growing up. She preferred playing sports and hanging out with the guys rather than doing girly things like shopping or makeup. Her parents were supportive of her choices and encouraged her to be true to herself. When she moved to the city for college, she found a boarding house that was affordable and conveniently located near her campus.
