API Reference

POST /api/ra3-image-editor

Edit an image from a source image and a text description. Alias: /api/ra3-image-edit

Request Format

Send a POST request as multipart/form-data with these fields:

Field	Type	Required	Description
api_key	string	Required	Your API key for authentication. The `X-API-Key` header is also accepted.
image	file	Required	Source image upload. PNG, JPEG, or WebP. Max 10 MB. The result is rendered at up to about 0.6 megapixels (long side up to 1024 px) in the source aspect ratio.
prompt	string	Optional	Optional hint for the edit, for example the colour scheme when colorizing. Max 200 characters.
task	string	Required	`"clean"` removes text, speech-bubble lettering, sound effects and watermarks while keeping the rest of the image. `"colorize"` adds full colour to line art or black and white images. Aliases: `cleanup`, `colorise`.
seed	integer	Optional	Fixes edit randomness for reproducible results. Omit for a random seed.

JSON Requests

Send Content-Type: application/json instead of a file upload, replacing image with one of these fields:

image_url	string	Either	Public URL of the source image. Max 10 MB.

prompt, api_key, task and seed work the same way as in the multipart form.

Pro Tips for Better Edits

Prompt Writing

The prompt is an optional hint; clean needs none
For colorize, name the palette or key colours
Keep it short (max 200 characters)

Source Images

PNG, JPEG, or WebP up to 10 MB
Pass public images with image_url instead of uploading
Larger sources are scaled down to about 0.6 megapixels
Edits take 30 to 60 seconds; keep the connection open (timeout 180 s)
